EPCs Explained
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is an official document that provides an energy efficiency rating for a property. Think of it as a 'energy MOT' for your home or commercial building. This certificate will give your property an energy efficiency rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient) and is valid for 10 years.
In the UK, an EPC is mandatory when selling or renting out a property, to help give prospective buyers or tenants an idea of what their energy bills might look like, and suggest how energy efficiency can be improved.
Having an EPC helps you stay compliant with government regulations and also offers valuable insights into how to reduce energy consumption.
How It Works
One of our qualified EPC assessor visits your property to gather data.
The assessor records information about insulation, heating systems, windows, and more.
The collected data is input into government-approved software to calculate the energy rating.
The software produces the EPC, including ratings and recommendations, tailored to your property's needs.
